So I am here in
Gainesville
,
Ga.
I arrived on Tuesday, September 11th. I got settled in and then came to the office for a few hours to get ready for training camp the next day. Then On Wednesday the 12th I went to the airport with Vicki Gross (the leader of the Internship) and Becca & Ashely (who are both in the internship with me & my roommates!!) We ended up being there all day waiting for people to come in. Cause, of course with airlines, flights got delayed and other changes of plan were discovered.
At training camp, which we worked yesterday and today (The boys in the internship helped set up the camp while the girls were at the airport. )
The interns are serve team, which basically means a lot of doing dishes and
taking out trash and refilling gallon jugs of water.
We have to be at the camp at
6:15 a.m.
and we normally get done around
8 p.m.
So that makes for really long days, though all that time is not working we do get some downtime.
I remember being at training camp last year and had no comprehension of how much work went into it. It makes you stop and wonder where else I have misconceptions about tasks and behind the scenes work. It also reminds me of how much Jesus was a servant to us. He came to serve not to be served. That really helps me keep going.
does that make you the watergirl for the team??
